Session III of Let Nature Work for You! Landscaping for Conservation
Join us for an introduction to invasive species and their effects on our yards and watershed. We will begin with a general overview and then delve into specific techniques for stormwater management on your property. This is the third workshop in a 2-year series on using your yard to help promote a healthy Tryon Creek watershed. Participants from the earlier workshops are invited to join us at 10:00am for specific stormwater management skill-building.

Workparty: “No Ivy” Day
Help the Friends of Tryon Creek State Park cut ivy off of trees on “No Ivy” Day. When ivy climbs trees, it not only flowers and spreads its seeds; the weight of the ivy can knock over those trees, destroying entire tracts of forest. Come help us stop this invader of the woods! Groups of 5 or more, please pre-register first. All minors require a parent/guardian-signed insurance form.
