PERSONNEL CHANGES: There have been two changes to the Friend's staff recently. One is that Rhonda Piasecki is moving on to the world of nurseries. She will be working at Garden Fever (corner of NE Freemont and 24th). We'll miss her, of course, but she'll be back for a lecture she is presenting on urban coyotes; Sunday, May 11 (A Mother's Day special).

Replacing her is Melissa McIntire whom you may remember from several year's back. We are fortunate to have her back as she is very comfortable with the organization and the kind of duties Rhonda was involved with. Plus, she is a lot of fun.

The second change is the addition of the Day Camp Director position. This will open up all sorts of educational and interpretive opportunities for Education Director, Sheilagh Diez and by extension; the visitors, families, teachers and students of the Portland Metro region.

The new Day Camp Director is Casey Newman. We are very excited to get someone with her capabilities and experience. She will be in charge of managing the summer day camp from bringing in this year's counselors to the day-to-day operations of the day camp during the summer. She has been with us for a few weeks now and learning the ropes of our system.

Welcome to the subscriber mailing list. The purpose of this mailing list is to encourage people to visit the park either through our educational and interpretative activities, special events, through volunteer opportunities or by strolling along the trails. We will also use this mailing list to highlight park updates and trail/bridge closures as well as conservation/restoration that is happening in the park and within the watershed. We hope you find it useful.

Thanks
