Beat the Weeds! on Tryon Creek Watershed Day


Calling all school classes, church groups, community organizations and families, find those gloves and get ready for the pull! Join community members from across the Tryon Creek Watershed for a little friendly competition. We’ll see who means business as we track how many invasive weeds are pulled during two days. 

FRIDAY and SATURDAY, May 30 and 31, 2008

PRIZE: Picnic Lunch for You! for Top Weed Pulling Family and Top Community, Church, or School Group


So you are ready to help us take on the invasive monster?

Here’s what you need to do.
STEP I Organize your community, school, church or family group.
STEP II Complete the registration form and return it to us by Thursday, May 29
STEP III Here’s the fun part. On May 30 and 31, Pull mad amounts of invasive plants!
STEP IV Complete and send in your completion form to us by Friday, June 6
STEP V Congratulate yourself! You’ve just made our watershed a better place to live (and possibly won a prize).

Welcome to the subscriber mailing list.
